Reach and Teach
W3.CSS

An investment in education is an investment in the future

Reach and Teach is a weekly program that will enable children to improve their writing, reading and math skills. We have set ourselves a number of goals, one of which is to work in close co-operation with
the Board of Education.
While some students benefit from the quality education provided by the educational systems, many of our students, are not able to perform to their full potential because they may lack the basics.
We are undertaking a project in the form of a Tutoring Program for students from grade one to eight in
the areas of Math, English and French. This is designed specifically in the area of remediation.

Another important component to this program is the involvement of the child's parent(s)/guardian(s). Research indicates that students perform better when parents take an active interest in their learning. Therefore parents’ involvement in the program is strongly encouraged, i.e. tutoring, supervising, helping to plan a program activity such as fundraising, a parents’ workshop or a student run concert or show.

By participating in the program, you will be able to:
• Learn more about what your child is being taught at school
• Identify and understand your child’s learning abilities
• Provide support and encouragement to your child
• Meet with educators, guest speakers and other parents to discuss your concerns, i.e. school system, new curriculum, report cards, etc.

Plan Ahead Get Ahead
Cut the Talk
Cut the Talk will provide those with limited access, a platform that will allow them to voice their concerns, provide feedback and an opportunity to become knowledgeable about information which is pertinent in everyday living. Discussions will address subject matters such as policing and community, health and well-being, planning for one’s future, academia and much more. Cut the Talk will take place primarily on a set which captures the very essence of the Black community’s meeting grounds the barbershop/salon.  The purpose of Cut the Talk is to meet people at all levels of life and engage them in conversations and provide an outlet for them to be heard in a grassroots fashion.

Those involved with Cut the Talk have a responsibility to the community that when ALL is said and done, the information gathered from each show will be discussed and either brought to the attention of change agents or packaged and disseminated back to the community which will educate and provide knowledge on certain topics.

Planning is an integral part of our daily lives from the time we wake up to the time we go back to sleep. So, it is very important that we all know how to plan for our future and generation thereafter. The problem we face at time is not prioritizing our goals properly.

Some people spend more time on their social media sites than they do planning their financial future.

In any case, no more excuses, if you want to get ahead then join us in our financial campaign to help you and your love ones (PLAN ahead to GET ahead). We will not only help you plant the seed we will help you nurture it to feed a generation.

If you fail to plan, then you are planning to fail!
